Between 1953 and 1958 Giuseppe Candini was part of the Maserati race support team where he had the unique opportunity of working with some of the fastest and most meticulous of racing drivers like five times World Champion Juan Miguel Fangio seen here on a visit to the Candini Workshop.

In 1958, Giuseppe Candini left the 'House of the Trident' when the opportunity arose to build his own single-seater race car. The same year his single-seater achieved second position overall in the first hill climb event it competed in.

In 1963 he opened a workshop at Bomporto, just outside Modena and began to carry out his first work for Maserati owners who had been sent to him by Maserati with whom Giuseppe Candini has always maintained a good relationship.
In 1974 at Sorbara, a few miles from Modena he began an effective collaboration with 'Carrozzeria Campana', who were also authorised by Maserati.
In 1987 Candini moved to his present workshop opposite Campana.
